LAPD Yearbook, 2018
22 Float glass and powder coated metal panels in custom anodized aluminum hanging system,
Los Angeles Police Academy, Los Angeles, CA

LAPD Yearbook is an installation of original ink and watercolor drawings translated into layered float glass and powder coated metal in a custom anodized aluminum hanging system. Commissioned by the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA), Public Percent for Art Program, in partnership with the Los Angeles Police Department, the installation of 22 artworks is based on photographs of graduating Academy classes between 1953 and 2015 sourced from the Los Angeles Police History Museum and LAPD photographers and other historical images from LA Public Library and LAPD archives, interspersed with drawings based on my own observation from ride-alongs.

Source photographs used as inspiration for drawings are courtesy of: Matthew Field, Robert G. Lee, Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles Police Museum, Los Angeles Public Library, and Laleh Masjedi.
