Los Angeles Memory Map was a collaborative autobiographical collage created with seniors in west Los Angeles. The program was funded through the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs Artist in Residence Program.

The Oasis Memory Mapping Workshop met in 2009 to explore ideas about memory and place, and to map personal and collective memories of our shared city in stories and images. The resulting collaborative collage reconnects the physical space of the city with the personal experiences that make up our individual relationships with Los Angeles.

The map is on exhibition at the Westside Pavilion Mall at 10800 West Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA
