Each branch in the sculpture (reading left to right) represents a category of holdings inside the building- for example, the branch representing “800’s: literature” is biggest and thickest because approximately 40% of the library’s holdings are fiction books, teen novels and children’s story books, while the branch representing “100’s: philosophy and psychology” is much smaller.
